Naoussa Paros: Fun Festivals and a Fine Hotel

Festival at the Park

Date of Celebration: June to September
One of the best summer musicals that you'll attend in your life only is seen in the Municipality of Paros. Started back in 2009, the Festival at the Park aim to promote local and international music artists. Second, to promote the rich culture and volunteerism among the locals and tourists of Paros. The Festival at the Park held at the Archilochus outdoor amphitheater. It hosts at least 20 meaningful and colorful events that trigger the mission of the festival, to promote the talents and culture of Paros.

Festival of Karavolas at Lefkes 

Date of Celebration: 1st Saturday after August 15
The hilliest side of Paros, Lefkes celebrates the Karavolas Festival to show their love for Karavolas snails. Snails? Seriously? Yes! The Festival of Karavolas is one f the biggest feasts celebrated in Paros. The preparation starts a week before the actual date of the festival. The festival include cultural performances such as group dancing and snail dinner! The volunteers prepare dinner for everybody. And what's in the Menu? The mouth-watering Karavolas sautéed in garlic sauce with baked potato on the side of the platter. The Karavola snail dish is best partnered with local wine and cheese. And a lot of local wine!

Fish Festival at Naoussa

Date of Celebration: 1st Sunday of July
Celebrated during the first Sunday of July, the Naoussa Fish Festival attracts many tourists every year. Old fishermen in Naoussa port named this festival to attract tourists in the little town of Naoussa. Since the early years of 70's, fishermen tie their boats together at the Mandraki port to show their solidarity. They prepare fresh seafood meals and dried fish to offer to the visitors. They even let the tourists taste the local wine and souma (local spirit) as a sign of generosity. Local musicians and bands attend the Fish Festival every year.
