As you would know, 75% of the marble sculpture, buildings, houses, roads (yes, there are roads in Greece that are made of marbles including the Marathi Marble Quarry itself), museums, and houses- are made from the marble that can be found in Paros! Just imagine how big this marble industry before!
Moving forward, you can easily get to the Marathi settlement to tour and inspect the center of the economy back then. Hop on a bus, and look for a road sign that says Marathi on it and there you go. While you walk on the road made from marble, you’d notice not only the white rocks but also the deserted buildings, edifices, and the lush of greens surrounding the place.
